âCan we just create a better logo already?â
I hear this all the time from business owners and itâs probably the #1 roadblock to creating an exceptional brand.
I get it.
When it feels like your brand isnât clicking, itâs tempting to think a fresh logo will solve the problem. But hereâs the thing â
A great logo isnât just about looking good.
It should be a reflection of your brandâs unique differences and values. Of your ideal customer and what makes them prefer you over competitors.
So until you have those things nailed down, your logo is never going to be quite ârightâ.
đśď¸ Start here:
At a recent Ideal Client Profile Workshop with Arthur German (of Brandtelling), we gave attendees a set of questions to help identify their ideal client.
Of those questions, these are the most important to start with:
1: What is the #1 problem your ideal client is trying to solve? If you donât talk about their specific pain points, youâll lose them.
2: What specific results does your ideal client want? If you donât talk about the specific impact they desire, youâll lose them.
3: Where do they spend most of their time? If youâre spending time on LinkedIn, but your target audience is on Twitter, youâre wasting time and money.
The best brands start with a deep understanding of their customer â of who theyâre talking to.
Ask yourself these questions, and come back to me when your messaging starts to resonate with the right people.
Hope this helps,
